Fingal Wildlife Management Area
|Sport in Port will hold the next Stanley Cup Challenge at Fingal Wildlife Management Area. http://stdoa.ca/fingal-wildlife-management-area/This will be a simple small relaxing run about 6km or so and also a family walk/run hike of about 2km or so. Part of the 6km course will include a military exercise you will need to complete and also a skill testing question in which you will need to find the answer in which to finish. The cup will go to the winner period. More details will be provided closer to the event on Facebook and www.sportinport.ca
We will be also asking for a donation on these races now. The first $5 will go to the Canadian Cancer Society and the rest will help cover the costs of putting on the races.
This is a wildlife management area so please be sensitive when running.
Please register on on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/events/478933668807780/ or by email to firstname.lastname@example.org
If you join but don’t show for any good reason, honour says you need to pay $20.00 to the Canadian Cancer society.
Message from Eric: Please read carefully…
I ran the route (your will not be exactly the same) today, though there will be changes. I took a lot of photos which are hints to the course. Though there is no hunting on Sundays, I will take no chances since there are many kids coming too for the family run/walk. So I have confined the race into the public space. But I’m gonna make you all work a little harder now!
James Husband will be providing the military exercise for this.
Thanks for all the volunteers Michelle, Clark, Joe
Please arrive at 930am for your orders. If you get lost text or call me at 519 200 7989.
